Great All-Around Roofing Experience
Built in 1955, my son’s roof was having serious leaks. The wooden decking was constructed of long boards common in houses built before plywood decking became standard. Such boards warp, shrink and shift, and replacing shingles is not enough to ensure a durable roof. The best approach was to replace the decking with plywood, but with increased lumber costs, we thought it might be too expensive. Daniel Wood prepared an estimate, and the price was so reasonable that we could afford to upgrade the quality of the shingles and underlayment. I discussed the project several times with company owner Kyle Hoffman, and his input was very helpful in considering different options for dealing with the wooden decking. Marie and others in the office answered all my questions and kept me apprised of all steps in the process, which occurred within a couple weeks of contract signing. I watched the entire job of tearing up the old roof, laying down plywood, and putting on the shingles. The guys doing the roofing were top-notch and diligent throughout. Because of the extensive work involved, Kyle sent a larger crew so it could be completed in a timely way. Amazingly the entire project was accomplished in one day.
